When we first embark on our chosen occupation in life, we never lose sight of our dreams. It took several years for Greg to reach that point when he could acquire the pickup he always wanted. In 2007 he traveled to Fresno, California, where he purchased this 1956 Chevy pickup. It had a stunning three stage white pearl paint job. It was a real eye catcher as it glistened under the bright California sun.
They used the frame from a '78 Camaro, channeled it in the rear so it could accommodate a five inch drop. During the frame off restoration, air suspension was added allowing the truck to be lowered to two inches off the ground. It allowed for the truck to have a clearance of 1/2 inch ground clearance.
The Foose wheels are 18 inch on the front and 19 inch on the rear. The California custom shop building this pickup decided on a 305 small block Chevy engine coupled with a turbo 350 automatic transmission. The final stage of the restoration included an oak floor in the truck bed, all new chrome and a digital dash. This show truck is among the best-of-the best at any show and receives many thumbs up as it cruises down the drag.
